The voyager Program

Program Overview

Unlike other Pacific American Academy programs, the Voyager Program consists of not courses, but tours. Tours are divided into two categories: college tours and enrichment tours.

College tours are arranged to allow students to visit universities around the world. However, these tours typically have a primary focus on universities in the United States. On college tours, students will be able to visit campuses and engage in activities such as speak with admission officers, attend classes, and converse with university students. College tours are especially beneficial for juniors who are surveying universities to apply for and for seniors who intend on accepting a college admission in the near future. College tours can help students decide what type of city, campus environment, curriculum structure, and school atmosphere is most suitable for them.

Enrichment tours are organized for students interested in deepening their knowledge in a particular discipline or industry. These tours also open the eyes and the minds of students up to the world around them as they experience diverse cultures and encounter people from differing backgrounds. Each enrichment tour has its own theme and a tour is structured to cultivate an in-depth appreciation and a scholarly understanding of a particular subject matter. For example, a student interested in the arts may choose to be part of an expedition to Paris that centers on visiting iconic landmarks, such as the Louvre, influential to art history and culture.
